long story short…. IT'S A LONG STORY
Deciding to learn Japanese has possibly been the biggest life changing event in my life so far, and I'm so happy I committed to it despite all of the ups and downs throughout the process.. Join along on today's ride where I share my story of how I started studying Japanese and how I ended up coming to Japan (now is my 3rd time)
Planning to make a similar video where I ask my wife (Thuong) to share her story, so leave questions if you have them!
Best vlogger 10/10 my hero. Didn't even need a draw my life video.
Great video! I'm starting college soon and learning Japanese side by side. Hope I can visit Japan and even live and work there. Future is unseen.
BTW what profession are u engaged in Japan. Did u pursue with your accounting major in Japan or are u working as an English Teacher?
This is a great video, I came to your channel out of serendipity, I happen to have a passion for a lot of things, including cycling and Japan. Over the years I've forgotten a lot of what I used to know about it, basically only kept a few words and a few cooking recipes. I would enjoy more videos on this topic, it just shows a really nice perspective. I once had dreams of Japan too, but these days are long gone, but I agree, sometimes your choices lead you to really unexpected and interesting situations. Inspiring video, arigatou gozaimasu ☺
Beutiful life dude, Gambate!!
Honestly… your best video to date. Completely agree with your comment about commitment. I'd like to hear about your visa hurdles… and, more about your way of learning Japanese.
Short and sweet. Very COOL !
Cruise you are a amazing man. Well done in achieving your goals and keep riding. If you can I would love to see a blog on Kyoto.
Nice video!! 🙂
あなたが作成している動画を最近頻繁に見ています。とても日本語がお上手ですね!
次回の動画も楽しみにしています!
Cruise, Just wanted to thank you for such a REALLY interesting video.
Japan is such a beautiful country, it's just a shame more of us European's don't get to see it.
I wish you every continued success with your channel.
Really enjoying your vids… cycled some of Japan a couple of years ago…. getting keen to get back there.
If you really like uphill climbing cycling, japan is heaven.
I lived in Japan for three years and wish I rode more then. I was only just starting riding and the area where you’ve ridden in this video looks amazing. I will make it back sometime though to ride again…
Thanks for the vids! Always refreshing to hear about someone following their dreams! Heading to my in-laws in Chigasaki tomorrow, going to cycle up Mount Fuji next week. Have you done that ride yet?
wow u earn my like and new subscriber. )
cool story bro
Wow, amazing story. Pretty sad that you had to end your cycling career. However, you are still enjoing your hobby in beatiful Japan.
Need to add Japan to my bucket list
What a cool story!
I lived in Japan during the summer of 2005.
I was working at the world expo in the belgian pavillion as a cook.
Really nice to see something about cycling in japan!
Do you join triathlon races?
Well presented!
enjoy life!
You lived in Kentucky?! that's so cool! That's where i'm from! This was a very interesting story too. Right now i'm kinda using Dulingo and other apps/books to try and learn japanese my self.
Just found your channel (and Strava profile). What is your job? I love to bike myself and I did a study abroad program in 2011 in Hachioji, so I'm enjoying the parallels here. 🙂
Cool story Cruise. Thanks for sharing. BTW, you had that cool trail all to yourself. That's awesome!
why don't they repair the big hole on the trail, that would hurt if you went down it.
I came across your channel week and half ago. I'm avid bike tourist, been traveling th world on my bike a few years now. I've been think of Japan. What's it like there for camping?
Excellente vidéo !! (French comments here). I like the way you extract yourself from the busy city into the mountain woods to talk about this very interesting topic. Keep them coming.
Great vlog as usual…great story. Very interesting for me on several fronts – as I am interested in making Japanese culture studies (especially films) my focus and career. Several hurdles in my way. Language for one, in spite of the G30 program. I have just started studying it. Want to apply in Nagoya again next year, fate willing. Anyway, I think this channel will be more and more popular. Look forward to seeing that.
Congrats on reaching 3k subscribers and also for monetizing your videos finally….
