I discovered today that one of my cats has widespread abdominal cancer. He hasn't wanted to eat for a couple of days and has lost a dramatic amount of weight. The nurse at the vet sent us home with a tin of Royal Canin Recovery food for cats and dogs. My cat literally threw himself at his food and ate around 80g in one go. He had received a steroid injection, which can have this effect, but he ate his fill.
Toby is absolutely adorable!!! He's a treasure!! Please pray for poor Timo.

It is uplifting to see the the family together. Timo is looking good, Toby seems to be growing and the Koi continue to tease their furry brothers while dad catches it all and shares with us all. Great update.

I had a cat with rental disease that was supposed to live 2 years and lived 12 more. I credit sub q fluids, a probiotic called Azodyl twice a day, calcitriol and famotidine antacid. Most of his days were good ones.
Not sure what treatment Timo is on, but you want want to ask your vet about the above.

My heart rejoices to see Timo ambling about. I can see the weight loss. A repeat of an earlier post – kitties can have kidney transplants, just like humans. In the States, the human parents must agree to care for the donor kitty. I don't know if the procedure is performed in the Netherlands, but it might not be a bad idea to ask the kitty specialist, if your finances can handle the surgery. If not, maybe "go fund me" might be an option. Whatever course you take, know that there's an international community praying for you and your sweet Timo. The Muff says, "purrrrr" and gives a loving head butt to Timo. Love from The Muff and his mom.
