reminds me of the film the cat returns
well, i have an outside cat. and sometimes i hear him fighting with strays. and it wakes me up. imagine 10 cats fighting outside your window. no sleep. yeah they're cute and i'll feed a stray if i see one. but idk if id be able to be constantly surrounded by them. plus i'm mildly allergic to them… i wonder if anyone on that island has cat allergies. and i wonder if some of the feral cats will just attack anyone at random. maybe little kids.

I have read Susan's post a dozen times and still haven't seen where she said Japan had a one child policy, she merely advocated that Japan, and everywhere else for that matter, should implement a one child policy.

@JaniHalfFolk WHATEVER!! After that tsunami hit Japan they are lucky that it didn't take ALL of them out to sea, even though it tried! I think a one child policy should be implimented EVERYWHERE, because HUMANS leave the biggest carbon footprint of any creature on earth!

As for the ecological argument: Feral cats have a huge negative impact on the environment. Feeding populations of cats enables them to overpopulate, destroy and push out native species (what do you think they eat?), and spread diseases to other animals. If you're letting cats run around and breed, you have no right to be moralizing, especially to other cultures.
@biolumine I would starve to death before I would ever eat ANY pet, or ft or that matter, any animal! I know that there are cat lovers in all those places, however, there are millions of humans, so maybe they should eat each other? That would help with the CO2 overload that this planet is suffering from! That's right! WE are thing that is causing warming on the globe! Not cars, trains, and areoplanes! It is US, and also our disgusting penchant for meat eating that is causing our planet to die!
@SusanQ83642 I hope you're never in a situation where you would have to consider eating whatever animal you happen upon in order to survive. You do realize there are cat lovers all over the world too, including "CHINA, PHILIPPINES, VIETNAM, KOREA".

The best loved and cared for cats in the world!! Japanese "Cat Lady" dumping her old rice out for the cats! Bet there are NO rats or mice in that community!! At least they are caring for them and not EATING THEM, like they do in CHINA, PHILIPPINES, VIETNAM, KOREA, and other places on the globe!! Congrats to the people of this community. May they (and the cats) live long and happy lives! I don't have to live there, my house looks like this! Cats everywhere!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
