some cats actually love warm baths, and some cats actually love hairdryers/blowdryers (there are many examples of both on youtube) … but clearly this particular cat – who is cornered, is just plain scared. And to think that this was done in a pet store blows my mind, they should be reported.
I bet he hated the bath even more. Let him air dry and stop stressing him out, stressing out animals decreases their life expectancy, heads up
Some cats get themselves really smelly and you have to give them a bath.
But you should towel dry it, this is cruel, the poor thing is obviously terrified.

@epic2011unboxings: Ummm. NO THEY CAT! I worked with cat and dog groomers for 6 years! Cat's get a blow dry all the time. You can only SUFFOCATE if air is taken away! Not if it is BLOWN on you. Otherwise everyone traveling on a motorcycle without a helmet at 70 miles per hour would suffocate and die. Do people USE ANY common sense before posting this kind of crap?
This is not hilarious – this seems cruel. The cat is cornered and the approach is NOT KIND. Shame on that pet store.
My family had a cat who used to come into the bathroom to defend us women from the evil hairdryer.. She'd just hiss and growl at it and if it was in her reach she's bat at it really hard.. I wouldn't think it was so funny if she'd been scared and ran away but she did the opposite. I´m pretty sure the noice of the hairdryer is the biggest problem with cats not the hot air. And if that cat really wanted to run, it'd be long gone.
ITS NOT HILARIOUS AT ALL. That poor cat is scared to death, you must know cats are very nervous and sensible animals. I dont believe it animal abuse. But you just shouldnt find "hilarious" this kind of stuff, you sick people.

@ozipk Yeah, cats have also been scavenging around for food for centuries. We still feed them, don't we? The baths help to keep the cats clean and helps with fleas, ticks etc. Sometimes cats just get dirty and you need to give them a bath. My cats definitely smell a whole lot better after a nice bath. They obviously will be fine, they won't die. But they're domesticated cats for a reason. My cats are definitely cleaner than many strays.

The cat is Obviously scared. The cruel part is to continue scaring it when it reacts like this. They should have towel dried it as much as possible and left it alone. The cat would take care of itself. It WOULD NOT freeze to death if it remained inside until it was dry. There are different ways to dry a cat without the use of a blow dryer. Anyone who takes their pet to a groomer would know this. The cruel part is this person cornering the cat after seeing the cats reaction from the start.
Wow to the negative comments. smh it's natural for a dog or a cat to be scared of a blow dryer (or a vacuum) when it's running. never good to leave a cat wet, unfortunately i learned that the hard when when i lost one of my pets. always blow dry, but keep the dryer at a safe distance. i didn't see any harm done in this video. just a bewildered cat.

I don't get how this is cruel? You can't NOT give cats a bath. Yes, cats can clean themselves to a certain degree, but they still get dirty, and it's important to give them a bath every now and then. Also, if you don't blow-dry the cat, it'll freeze! It is very hard to dry a cat using a towel only, even for short-hairs. Even in the tropics where it's super hot & sunny, we need to blow-dry the cat to dry it off properly or else it starts to shiver. It'll be animal cruelty if you leave it all wet!

Terrorizing an animal is just plain cruel, no matter where it is done, and there are better ways to groom a cat than the torture going on here, and if I EVER caught anyone doing that to my pet, or any animal in general, you may depend on the fact that there would be authorities brought in. Every animal deserves to be treated with care and respect, not treated like this.

That is hateful. There is no reason that cat needed to be backed into a corner and terrorized with a blowdryer. Also, it is a load of BS that it HAD to be dried like that instead of with a towel. I have a long haired cat and I can dry her perfectly fine with a towel. That was just teasing to get a laugh. Hope the cat raked that person's hand apart just for spite.
I think they could have gone about drying the cat a different way, the cat doesn't feel secure and it doesn't seem like the person is being careful not to hit the cat directly in the face with the air. Cats can be blow-dried but it's a process you have to introduce them to slowly and make it a positive and enjoyable thing.
